Rebecca “Becky” Dieterich
Veteran Service Officer (VSO)

Becky Dieterich was born and raised in Wisconsin and is proud to be a native “Milwaukeean”. In 2002, at the age of 30, she decided to follow her dream of doing humanitarian work and joined the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.

During her 22-year service, she achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer and retired in 2024. Her duty stations include Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC; Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Naval Hospital Corps School Great Lakes, IL instructor duty; and 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG) Camp Pendleton, CA where she deployed to Afghanistan from 2012-2013 as Medical Planner for 1st MLG Regional Command Southwest. Becky decided she liked Great Lakes and Camp Pendleton so much, she finished her last nine years alternating between the two and retired from Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command/Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center.

Her qualifications and certifications include: Master Training Specialist, Sexual Assault Prevention Victim Advocate/Program Manager, Operational Stress Control and Readiness Course/Trainer Certification, Master Resiliency Course/Trainer Certification, Healthcare Providers and Clinic Management Course, and other professional military leadership courses.

Her military awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and others.

Becky’s passions include animal rescue, the healing power of nature, sci-fi, and continuing to advocate for military members, veterans, and their families. She will ensure that you never go hungry as she loves to cook and bake with her specialty being cheesecakes.
