Olivia Puplava
Administrative Assistant
Olivia Puplava started with the Veterans Assistance Commission on March 10th, 2025, as an Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining the VACLC, Olivia was an Administrative Clerk for the Lake County Government for over 10 years. She is currently pursuing her Associate’s Degree at the College of Lake County.
Olivia’s late father was retired from the Navy and served in Vietnam Veteran. When he was diagnosed with cancer, Olivia and her family found the Veterans Assistance Commission of Lake County (VACLC) to be an invaluable resource, providing them with the support and resources they needed during a challenging time. Lacking assistance from VACLC, they faced many uncertainties regarding him receiving the same level of care and comfort or if he would have lived as long as he did in the most optimal way. Inspired by the dedication and compassion of the VACLC staff, Olivia has since been driven to help other veterans and their families access the benefits available to them.
Olivia resides in Lake County with her husband, daughter and their cat Hossa. She’s an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, camping, traveling, and is always up for trying new foods along the way. Her husband volunteers with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as an Auxiliary Deputy Sergeant and Olivia also enjoys doing volunteer work within her community. Always on the go, Olivia is passionate about making the most of every adventure and helping others along the way!
